Alina Malkova

I'm an Assistant Professor at the Florida Institute of Technology.

My research areas are labor and development economics with the focus on:

- The impact of credit market development on labor informality.

- The effect of access to finance on entrepreneurship.

- The economics of informal financial markets and their effect on the labor market.


I received a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Applied Math and Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (2011), a M.A. in Economics from New Economic School (2015), and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2020).
